I’m an engineer who loves to fix things, automate things, and make science do something useful. (Engineers are lazy — that’s why we invent smarter ways to work!) My journey started in academia, exploring microsystems technology, physics, and materials science — research that led to my development of embroidered sensors that merge fabric and electronics.
Now, as Chief Technology Officer of a UK biotech spin-out, I focus on transforming complex ideas into practical technologies that improve lives. I’m happiest when I’m building, debugging, or rethinking how something should work — whether that’s in the lab, a prototype rig, or with an old piece of electronics brought back to life. I also have a real passion for 3D printing and the way it connects creativity and engineering.
If you’d like to learn more, have a look at my publications, explore my blog, or connect with me on LinkedIn — I’m always up for a conversation about innovation, biotech, or a good fix-it story.
